I served as Science Communications Officer for Titanic discoverer Bob Ballard, broadcasting live via National Geographic to connect classrooms, science centers, and the world with deep-sea exploration in real time.
Modernizing MCAET
As Director, I transformed a traditional county office of education TV station into a modern streaming platform while launching career-focused digital production classes for high school and college students. As well I managed the FCC rebanding transition in 2019.
Creating the Khan Lab School
As the first hire and Master Curriculum Designer, I collaborated with a talented team on an innovative school model centered on student-led learning, and large-scale projects with real-world audiences.
Building Big Dreams at Project Ember
From early collaborator to pandemic-era leadership team, I helped this large-scale building camp adapt programs, develop new products, and expand offerings when they were needed most.
DC School Gardens with the First Lady’s Let’s Move!
While teaching in Washington DC, my school team and I partnered with Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! program to bring school gardens and hands-on nutrition education to students.
Rebooting RAFT
I was hired as Director of Learning and Interim CEO to re-engage donors, members, schools, and teachers with this Silicon Valley nonprofit’s mission. I created in-school that invited parents and students to collaborate with teachers and staff to build an outdoor classroom at one-day weekend events.
